myMountaineers.com Scholarship Fund

Welcome to the myMountaineers.com scholarship overview. The goal of the program will be for myMountaineers to make scholarships available to current or future WVU students. The scholarship funds will be derived primarily from donations received by our community members. Our goal will be to issue scholarship amounts of at least $250 - $500 or more per scholarship with a goal of having multiple scholarships available as funds permit. Our initial goal will be to raise $1000 (per the WVU foundation guidelines)

Below are the general guidelines for the scholarship, however, we will be adding additional information as we receive the guidelines from WVU Scholarship / Foundation group.

Scholarships will be available to:

- Registered and Active myMountaineers.com members; and
- Students currently enrolled or will be enrolled in the upcoming semester at West Virginia University

myMountaineers.com Scholarship Fund Terms and Conditions

Scholarship Selection will be granted based on the following guidelines of myMountaineer.com members:

- Eligible members must be active contributors to the myMountaineers.com community
- Present a positive image within the myMountaineers.com community
- Submit a request for consideration via the “Scholarship” contact form
- Submit a detailed essay outlining why they should be considered for the scholarship. (more to follow)

- Each entry will then be published and made available for the myMountaineers community for a designated period of time
- Each Candidate will then be entered into a “vote” for each of the myMountaineer.com registered members to vote on their candidate of choice.

Candidates can only receive one scholarship per semester (fall or spring).

Candidates are elible and can enter to win a single scholarship for multiple semesters.

Donations
Donations will be managed through PayPal and can be made via credit card, eCheck or PayPal accounts.

We will reprot progress and donation amounts.
