Recruiting news galore ... • West Virginia got a commitment from standout Ohio running back Braylon Heard, who was also considering Penn State, Michigan State and others. It's the Mountaineers' 13th commitment for 2010. Here's the Scouts Inc. evaluation of Heard. • Pitt also dipped into Ohio, gaining a pledge from Cleveland tight end Brendan Carozzoni, Kevin Gorman writes in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Carozzoni picked the Panthers over West Virginia and others and is Pitt's 14th commitment. Read his Scouts Inc. evaluation here. • Cincinnati got its 14th commitment by landing Tre Boston, a 5-foot-11 cornerback/receiver from Cape Coral, Fla. • Tebucky Jones Jr., the son of the former Syracuse and NFL Super Bowl winning safety, is a star high school receiver who's weighing an offer from UConn, Desmond Conner writes in the Hartford Courant. • Louisville sophomore defensive end Greg Scruggs didn't start playing football until late in high school because he preferred the marching band, C.L. Brown says in The Courier-Journal.
